Class of 2009 Watch

Today I am starting my posting of thumbnails on some of the nation's top underclassmen

Kevin Graf OL/DL 6'6 277 5.2 Augura California

Kevin is among the nation'S very best sophomore offensive linemen. He transferred to Augura after playing on the varsity at powerful Westlake Village Oaks Christian (Jimm y Clausen's and Marc Tyler's school)as a freshman. He has excellent size and shows unusually good body control for such a young and big lineman. He can really move the pile0 and plays pretty low for his size. He looked quite good at the 2006 USC summer camp going up against some of the area's top rising seniors.

Shane Gordon LB/RB 6'2 220 4.7 Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna Florida

Gordon is an outstanding young talent for a strong Chaminade-Madonna program. As a freshman he was named Second Team All-Broward-3A-1A by the Miami Herald. Considered by some ot be the top sophomore in talent-laden Broward County. Does a great job of stepping up and filling the hole and pursues well from sideleine-to-sideline. Reads and reacts well. Great combination of size and speed. One of the nation's best.

Alfonzo Sylvester WR 5'11 175 4.5 Bolingbrook Illinois

One of the top sophomore WRs in the midwest. Doing a good job stepping in for former all-american Carl Fisher. Nice quikness, soft hands and shows good body control when going up for the ball. Has an extra gear.

Khyran Major RB/DB 5'10 165 4.5 Detroit Crockett Michigan

Crockett has produced several D-1 kids recently (Brandon Graham and John Thompson at Michigan, Ed Johnson at Penn State just top name a few) and Major is a youngster who has the potential to join them down the road. He is a quick and elusive RB who led Crockett in rushing dsuring the nine game regular season, carrying the pigskin 86 times for 795 yards (9.24 ypc) and 5 TDs. He runs with nice vision and pretty good power for his size, shows nice change of direction and really can dart through the line. One of the top sophomores in Michigan.

Tromarcus Toney QB/PK 6'1 175 Memphis Melrose Tennessee

Tromarcus could be the next great to emerge out of the always talent-laden Melrose program. Tonye has both a nice arm and quick feet, but his bigest asset is his composure on the field and his decision-making skills. He understands when to get rid of the football and when to take off and scramble. A versatile performer who also started as a freshman kicker.

Shane Delery DL 6'3 220 4.80 New Orleans Jesuit Louisiana

Delery was First Team All-District (District 7-1A) as a freshman at Baton Rouge Dunham. He transferred to Jesuit for his sophomore year. Still a "puppy", he has the frame to get much, much bigger. Great quickness off the ball. Was very impressive playing 1A ball as a freshman, showing an innate ability to read plays and get to the ball.

Now that I have completed my rundown of the top prospects in the Classes of 2007 and 2008 I am moving on with some other interesting and fun postings.

Today I commenced my "Great Bloodlines" series that I will be updating periodically over the next couple of weeks. I also plan to roll out my Class of 2007 "All-Name" team over the next couple of weeks.

I will be providing updates and thumbnails on some of the top underclassmen to keep an eye out for over the next few years. These will inclue some samplings from my premium services (for colleges only) database of over 17,000 ranked underclassmen that is growing by about 100 prospects per day.
